Happy New Year!

This is an awesome greeting!

And what hopes we have in turning a new leaf!

The saying, turning a new leaf, makes you think of a bright, green tree leaf. But the new leaf is a new page. The blank signifies a new beginning, a fresh start.

Who doesn’t like new beginnings?

It’s a chance to start afresh. Out with the old, bad habits and in with the new, good ones.

No one can give us a new beginning but God.

And God can and will do new things for you and me in 2019.

Yes, you get to write a new chapter. Between the present and the future, the pages will be filled. And only you can write your chapter.

What will be your opening prologue?

Some people might begin with “my hopes and dreams for 2019.”

Perhaps your prologue will be a new year resolution to exercise, save money, travel, pursue a dream or some other aspiration.

But how resolute are you about your resolutions?

Although only a small percentage of people stick to their New Year’s resolutions, “you got this!”

Look forward to achieving your resolutions and for other successes in 2019. But expect challenges. It’ not going to be all easy-breezy.

2018 is gone but not forgotten. We can’t change what’s written in our 2018 chapter. But we can refer back to it to avoid repeating mistakes.

You’re not alone. We all made mistakes.

And the lessons learned will help us grow spiritually and be more successful in 2019. Life is like that; it teaches lessons to those willing to learn.
Don’t redact the bad behaviors and decisions as if they didn’t happen. Take ownership of the not so good. Remember them as lessons learned. And actions not to be repeated.

Celebrate small successes is one of my lessons learned in 2018.

When I publish a post, I celebrate! When I get a new subscriber, I celebrate with a little dance.

Refined dances like the twist, chicken, or running man are out of the question. I make up my own.

So, build on the good achieved in 2018. It will give you stability for the new year. You have the power to achieve your resolutions and goals for 2019.

I plan to achieve my goals: publish my 2nd book, grow my social media platforms, and others.

With God guiding my footsteps, I can do it! And so can you.

Remember 1John 4:4 (KJV). “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Hold yourself accountable, and ask loved ones and friends to do the same.

And celebrate achievements—no matter how small.

It’s a new year. Will there be a new you?
