Have you had anyone to tell you, “Go to hell!”
That wasn’t a nice thing for someone to say!
To say such a thing is lowdown and hateful!
A Christian wouldn’t wish their worst enemy to go to hell!
Hell is a place of brimstone, fire, eternal suffering, and unimaginable pain. Hell is a fiery pit where “There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth,” described in Matthew 13:50.
Maybe someone has asked, “What in hell do you want?”
I imagine there isn’t anything in hell that anyone wants. Who would want Satan’s residence as their eternal abode?
Hell isn’t a four-star resort or vacation destination. Hell isn’t a ya’ll come attraction that no one would want to leave.
It’s not uncommon for people to use hell phrases. And when they do, it’s not in a complimentary or endearing manner.
I haven’t heard any ’good intention’ or ‘well wishes’ hell phrases.
You be the judge.
The man drove like a bat out of hell after robbing the store.
All hell broke loose when the two gangs met in the alley.
He voted against the contestant for the hell of it.
The child’s father was hell-bent on embarrassing the teacher.
It will be a cold day in hell before she becomes my friend!
What the hell!
She may catch hell in her new position.
There are many hell phrases; maybe we’ve used or heard more than a few of them.
But what about the phrase hell on earth?
Maybe Ron Reagan, the atheist who advertises that he isn’t afraid to burn in hell, is talking about hell on earth. One can come and go as one pleases to Hell, a small town in Grand Cayman.
No, he’s talking about the fiery place where sinners will be separated from God and His saints.
Our parents told us as children, “Hell is a bad place for bad people.”
If hell has such a bad connotation and no one wants to go there, why would anyone want to name their town Hell?
What the…
Your guess is as good as mine.
Next to Seven Mile Beach and 20 miles from George Town, Hell is one of the Grand Cayman’s popular attractions.
Does the town have brimstone? Brimstone is sulfur. Brimstone originates from a word that means to burn.
Who in Hell knows?
The people there could tell us, but it’s quicker to look it up.
A Google search revealed that the town got its name from the strange, ominous-looking black rock formations. Nothing marks the devil’s den like a sculpture of his likeness amid the hellish-looking rock formations.
The town’s name and unsightly rocks make the area an alluring, must-see attraction. Imagine sending a postcard from Hell to family and friends!
They would think it was a practical joke if they didn’t know where you were.
Of course, there have to be devils in Hell. It wouldn’t be Hell without them. Blazing headwear, pitchforks, and other souvenirs are essential in their gift shops.
We know that Hell in the Grand Cayman.
No one knows the location of the fiery hell, also called Hades and Sheol. The Bible speaks of hell as a ‘going down.’
Luke 10:15 states, “And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.”
Surely, no one wants or plans to go down to hell.
But here are the directions to Hell if you’re in West Bay, Grand Cayman.
Take Hell Rd, the address is 93 Hell Road.
Some people try to make others’ lives a living hell!
I’m glad Mom also told us that heaven is a good place for good people.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).”
I hope you are happy and well.
