This post has nothing to do with country roads, the South, or Southern traditions. This post is about the American tradition of democracy, THE POWER OF THE VOTE, and THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE.

This post is about you! It’s about me! It’s about us!

THIS POST IS ABOUT AMERICA!

Soon after November 3, 2020, we shall know the people’s voice.

THE PEOPLE SPEAK LOUDER THAN E. F. HUTTON. WHEN THE PEOPLE VOTE, THE POLITICIANS LISTEN!

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,” WE CAST OUR VOTE.

THE REASONS WE CAST OUR VOTE.

America should aspire to be a more perfect union – There’s more that unites us than divides us.

We desire to establish justice – justice for all, regardless of race.

We want domestic tranquility – everyone must obey the law—the law enforcer and the public. No one is above the law.

We must provide for the common defense – the president and federal government must protect the United States, citizens, and property. Leaders must be selfless.

The government must promote the general welfare – the laws represent the interests of all the people. Everyone wants the opportunity to achieve the American dream.

We must secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and posterity – the rights to freedom of speech, religion, to bear arms, vote, and other rights must be protected and granted to all citizens.

Our voice does count. Our votes will be counted.

Thank God for a government of the people, for the people, and by the people.

Please be safe. We’re still amid a horrible pandemic.

God Bless America!

I will be back with my Southern wares and stories tomorrow.
