People ask, “Where is God?”

Is it possible for anyone to leave the presence of God? Where can one go where God will not be?

We leave home, drive or fly to another town, city, or state, and leave loved ones miles behind. No flight in the near and far corners of the world can distance us from God’s presence. There are no getaways or getting away from God.

We can’t see God, but He is forever present and sees us. His eye fills the universe in every direction so that there is no hiding place or hidden person, animal, or thing.

Adam and Eve sinned and tried to hide in the Garden of Eden, but they couldn’t be hidden.

Genesis 3: 8 (KJV) says, “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.”

God didn’t need to track their footprints to know where they were; He was their lifeline and breath. And He saw them with His all-seeing eye.

Yes, God sees the inhabitants of the earth and universe and knows us by hearts and names.

He neither has to turn left, right, look over, under, forward, or behind to find us. We’re in plain and complete view of His eye.

We can see a few things with two eyes; God compasses all things with His eye. Neither the darkness nor remote places can conceal us from Him because we’re always in God’s presence. God neither advances nor retreats; He is omnipresent or always present.

Who can flee from God?

In Psalm 139: 17-12 (KJV), David said, “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the seas; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.”

David knew and acknowledged that God’s awareness of him was instantaneous regardless of any conceivable dwelling place, earth, heaven, or hell. No one and nothing can hide, not even a gnat and not even Satan.

Neither the earth, sea, nor heaven can boast of unseen or never seen things and places, for God placed them there. And His fire burns in the volcanoes and the midst of hell.

With His hand, he can reach us wherever we are.

Jonah thought he could flee from God, who surveiled his steps and continued his breaths. God’s hand reached and delivered Jonah from the belly of a great fish in the sea.

God’s presence is for all of His creatures and creation. We can call upon Him anytime and anywhere because He is a very present help. He kows our deeds, good and or bad.

The creator of all things is God, who knows how many raindrops are in the oceans and seas and the number of hairs on our heads. It is He who doen’t duplicate a finger or footprint.

The presence of God is here, there, and everywhere; His presence fills the universe.

Do not fear, have faith, and wait on God. He hasn’t left us.

Be safe.
