Life is such sa hustle and bustle, going here and there, doing this or that. There’s always places to be and things to do. Sometimes finding the time to do something for ourselves is not that easy.
People who get things done pride themselves in being successful. They understand the importance of disciple and taking care of themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually to maintain stamina and complete their daily tasks and routines.
We make time for others in our lives but we must also make time for ourselves.
Eating breakfast is a good habit to begin one’s day to be physically and cognitively prepared to engage socially and complete physical and mental activities.
Some health enthusiasts, including physicians, say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Eating breakfast has many health benefits. Breakfast provides essential nutrients for the body and may decrease overeating during other meals, which helps with weight control. Breakfast also provides a source of energy to begin the day and offers many other benefits.
Some believe it’s okay to skip lunch or even dinner, but one should eat breakfast if at all possible.
Adelle Davis, a nutritionist, said, People should ‘eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.”
Where am I with Davis’ eating recommendation or philosophy? It sounds very sensible and practical. I’m not there yet, but I plan to do better.
Is a good breakfast a part of the daily routine of successful people, people who get things done without being pooped out or fatigued early in the day?
A good breakfast can kick-start a beautiful day. We all need a little pizazz or a little pep in our steps!
Adults who encourage their spouse and children to eat breakfast should also encourage themselves to do the same.
We champion others; It’s not selfish to champion ourselves. In doing so, we must lay claim to the silence, focus, and daily renewal that belongs to us?
One thing we can do to champion ourselves is to get up thirty minutes or more before everyone else and make ourselves a priority. We can be purposeful, mindful, and elevate our thinking to ensure positive experiences and responses during the day.
Positive affirmations and other self-care initiations can also help kick-start a beautiful day.
Here are a few additional things among many that can enhance your daily self-care and daily routines.
Carve out 15 minutes or more for daily meditation before doing any of the following:
taking the kids to school
getting in the car and driving in the stressful, congested traffic to work
checking your cell phone for text messages, various social media feeds, or email
start journaling
Complete a few chair, hand or leg weight exercises, stretches or lounges.
Choose to do at least one thing that will make you feel good about yourself before the end of the day.
Go outside and take deep breaths of fresh air.
Reflect inward, read the Bible, a daily devotional, or meditate.
We deserve to have the best day possible, whether we are retired or employed.
I usually begin my day with prayer, twenty or more minutes of aerobics and inspirational music.
Have a great day; you deserve it!
I hope you are happy and well.
