Hi! I’m so happy you stopped by. I’m BJ, a writer with encouraging words for women with unfulfilled dreams. Regardless of what season of life you’re in. I want you to dust-off and rekindle abandoned and shelved dreams.
Are you waiting for the “right time” to pursue and fulfill aspirations and dreams?
The right time is now! Now is the time to fulfill old and new dreams.
Like you, I waited for the right time: that time where I would have no stress, no responsibilities. But that time never came.
After raising two children and retiring from a thirty-year career, I still had challenges and responsibilities. Aging parents and precious, but needy grand-children are a few. So, I worked with what I had, named and claimed what I wanted.
I told my friends, “I’m going to write a book.” Of course, I had to tell them what the book was about and when it would be finished. My friends held me accountable. At every encounter, they asked about the book. My deferred dream of writing spilled out on paper. Within three years, I wrote and published Room for Love and Faith: The Shunammite’s Blessing.
I did it, and so can you!
In the book, I use the biblical story of the Shunammite woman to teach lessons about love, faith, and perseverance. After a tragedy, these three virtues helped the Shunammite restore her family. My book enlightens readers how to persevere and trust God in times of hardship and heartache.
Writing the book taught me never to give up on my dreams and trust God for all things.
My blog is designed to inspire women like you and me, reserved women or late bloomers, to pursue our passions. Dare to live our dreams. A dream is as compelling as the passion and fire stoked by the will of the dreamer. Dare to make your aspirations a priority of your heart, spirit, head, and hands. And start now!
Empty nesters, this is your time! Retirees, what are you waiting on? Forget the skeptics. Allay any fears. It’s never too late. Become a writer, poet, artist, belly dancer; live your dream!
Like the Shunammite woman, persist and trust God for all things.
I’ve learned that a deferred dream isn’t a denied dream; it’s an untried dream. We achieve not if we believe not. Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and Life are in the power of the tongue.” So is the fulfillment of dreams. We must compel our dream into reality.
My blog is informative and useful for anyone who needs a little encouragement from someone who understands about reinvigorating dreams.
